Ruckus Media partners with a scholastic esports heavyweight NASEF.

Ruckus Media Group (Pty) Ltd, one of South Africa’s leading sports media organisations and the Network of Academic and Scholastic Esports Federations (NASEF), a global leader in scholastic esports are thrilled to announce a new partnership which is set to accelerate the advancement of scholastic esports in South Africa.
Ruckus Media will work with NASEF to create a sustainable esports ecosystem here in South Africa, building from grassroots. Additionally, Ruckus Media and NASEF will collaborate on research projects, tournaments & competitions and collaborate on media content which is focused on the broader esports industry.
Gerald Solomon, Founder and Executive Director at NASEF, shared the organisation’s enthusiasm regarding the South African affiliation: “We are pleased to formally welcome you to the WWSEF/NASEF Affiliate family, congratulations!”
He further added that “we look forward to sharing with you and your communities NASEF’s innovative approach to project based, immersive learning connecting STEM/STEAM and other academic learnings to esports and gaming.”
Our combined efforts will create professional development pathway opportunities for local esports mentors & coaches to participate in the NASEF Scholastic Fellow Program – a three year pathway aimed at building scholastic esports Community Leaders within the global NASEF community.
This partnership between Ruckus Media and NASEF is poised to accelerate the growth of scholastic esports in South Africa and provide invaluable opportunities for all students interested in pursuing careers in the esports and gaming industry. Ruckus Media intends to form a local Scholastic Esports Association which will connect educators around South Africa to promote esports as a platform where students can acquire critical communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills needed to thrive in work and in life.
